The J.G. Edelen Co. line of Self-Balancing Lid Supports is designed to provide continuous tension on lift lids, thereby holding the lids steady at any point between fully opened and closed. By offering different component combinations, such as cam arm length, mounting brackets, and spring tensions, we are able to create a “custom” support that will work for your unique application. The standard finishes for these include bronze, brass, zinc, and black. Our lid supports are 100% American made and are of the highest quality and durability.

Springs Available:

To determine the correct spring for your application, please use following formula: Multiply one half of the distance from the front to the back of the lid in inches times the weight of the lid in pounds to calculate the inch-pounds required to support the lid.
(front to back of lid in inches /2) X weight of lid in pounds = required inch-pounds
